上越市の五智国分寺。まとまった積雪で雪景色に。山門（仁王門）をくぐると右側に三重塔がある。塔は上越地域で唯一、県内でも3つしかない。十二支の彫り物名護が施されているが、上部にはなく、未完成といわれている。撮影中も参拝者が絶えず、地域で慕われていることがうかがえる。
